“Rice and Beans came from my real experiences working in Lagos. I’ve worked with many producers and noticed a lot of competition and bias—some people care about your tribe, religion, or if you’re ‘their own’ before giving you their best. I’ve been disappointed, even by friends. Sometimes they take your money and don’t deliver the quality you expect. That reality pushed me to create this song.”
